Marcel Granollers Pujol is a professional tennis player, who has formerly ranked first in the ATP's doubles category. Popular for his heavy grunting, Granollers’ strengths include playing near the net and good serve. He is ranked No. 4, as of December 2024, with a career-high ranking of No. 1 by the ATP on May 6, 2024. Despite being ranked No. 1, he has yet to win any grand slam title in his career. However, he finished as the finalist in five grand slams: the 2014 French Open, the 2021 and 2023 Wimbledon and the 2014 and 2019 US Open.

Since his professional journey in 2003, he has won 27 doubles titles, including the 2024 Canadian Open and the 2024 Italian Open with Horacio Zeballos. His biggest achievements in his career include winning the 2012 ATP Tour Finals and defeating the Indian duo of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna with Marc Lopez. Granollers has also earned fame in singles by achieving the career-high ranking of No. 19 on July 23, 2012. As of December 2024, he has won four WTA singles titles, including the 2013 Kitzbuhel Open and the 2011 Valencia Open. With his flawless performance, Spain lifted the trophy of Davis Cup thrice in 2019, 2011 and 2008.
