Mirra Andreeva is a teenage tennis sensation from Russia who achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 23 in June 2024. Andreeva started her season by producing some dynamic performances at such a young age. At the 2024 Brisbane International, she reached her first WTA tour quarterfinal, defeating No. 14 Liudmila Samsonova.

Her triumphs continued as she reached the third round of the 2024 Australian Open by defeating Bernarda Pera and Ons Jabeur in the first and second rounds, respectively. Andreeva reached the fourth round of WTA 1000 tournaments at the 2023 Beijing Open. She rose to fame after defeating Leylah Fernandez at the WTA 1000 Madrid Open in 2023. After winning the match, Andreeva became the third youngest female player to win a match at WTA 1000, after CiCi Bellis and Coco Gauff. She then defeated No. 13 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the second round in straight sets. Andreeva’s best Grand Slam performance came at the 2024 Freanch Open, where she reached the semifinal.
