Players will fight for a spot in the final of the Brisbane International 2025 on Day 7 of the tournament. The first women's semifinal will kickstart the proceedings and will feature qualifier Polina Kudermetova taking on Anhelina Kalinina. The former has been on a giant-killing spree, and already took down a top 10 player, Daria Kasatkina, earlier this week.
Kudermetova will now aim to reach her maiden career final at the WTA level. Defending champion Grigor Dimitrov will follow the ladies for his semifinal showdown against Jiri Lehecka. Having lost to his younger rival the last two times, he will be keen to avoid a hat-trick of losses against him.
Teen sensation Mirra Andreeva has been in fine form this week and has made the last four in singles, and the final in doubles. She will face World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the summit clash. She beat the Belarusian the last time they crossed paths, which was at last year's French Open.
While Andreeva did come out on top, Sabalenka was hindered by an illness during their quarterfinal contest. She won their other two matches in straight sets and took the teenager to three sets despite not being at her best in Paris. The teenager will take to the court for the second time with compatriot Diana Shnaider for her doubles match.
Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard will feature in the day's final singles contest. He will take on Reilly Opelka, who stunned 24-time Major champion Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
