Eugenie Bouchard turned bridesmaid and partied it out alongside her friends to celebrate the wedding of Carol Zhao and Andy Fang. She was accompanied by a big squad that included Erin Routliffe and Dominique Harmath as they set the dance floor on fire.
Bouchard, who is currently juggling her life as a professional in two sports - tennis and pickleball, flew off to Florence, Italy to attend the wedding of her friends Zhao and Fang.
Zhao, much like her compatriot, is a professional tennis player. Her most recent outing came at Wimbledon this year, and she was eliminated in the qualifiers.
The 30-year-old took to Instagram to share a series of stories of her squad, herself, the venue, and many other highlights of the wedding. In one of them, Bouchard posted a solo picture of herself in front of the beautiful greenery at the venue. She was also seen drinking and partying with everyone seated at table 5 which she declared the 'coolest'.
"table 5 is the coolest table," she wrote.
Eugenie Bouchard, who donned a dazzling green gown for the wedding, changed into a top, skirt, and sports shoes before stepping onto the dance floor.
"changed into proper D floor attire."
She could be seen dancing alongside World No. 1 in women's doubles Erin Routliffe and Canadian tennis player Dominique Harmath. She was commended on her dedication by one of her friends. The Canadian joked that A/C doesn't exist in Europe.
Eugenie Bouchard has competed in only one tennis tournament in 2024
Eugenie Bouchard decided to become a professional pickleball player last year. She also had an emphatic end to the tennis season last year, as she was an integral part of Team Canada that went on to win the Billie Jean King Cup for the first time in tournament history.
Despite the amazing result, Bouchard hasn't really turned to tennis much in 2024. In May, she entered the ITF USA 15A which is played on red clay. The Canadian kicked-off her run with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Justina Mikulskyte, and followed it up with a topsy-turvy 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 win against Fanny Stollar. However, she retired from her quarterfinal match against Kayla Day.
She also competed in doubles, teaming up with Stollar. But the duo was ousted in the quarterfinals.
Eugenie Bouchard has also participated in exhibition events such as the Women's Classic Tennis Exhibition at the Dallas Open and the inaugural Netflix Slam this year.
