Born on August 11, 1994, in Rockhampton, Queensland, Storm Hunter (née Storm Sanders) is an Australian tennis sensation who has carved a niche for herself in doubles. As of March 2024, she is ranked World No. 3 in doubles, having reached her career-high ranking of World No. 1 on November 6, 2023. Her impressive record includes eight WTA titles, which includes winning the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championship, where Hunter and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Ellen Perez and Nicole Melichar-Martinez in the final.

Hunter finished semifinalist at the 2024 San Diego Open with Kateřina Siniaková, but the duo lost to Ellen Perez and Nicole Melichar—Martinez. She was a finalist in the doubles event of the 2023 Wimbledon and reached the semifinals at the 2022 US Open. She finished semifinalist at the 2023 WTA Finals in the doubles category. She also helped her country reach the final of the 2022 Fed Cup.

Hunter finished runner-up at the 2024 BNP Paribas Open along with Kateřina Siniaková, where she lost to Elise Mertens and Hsieh Su-wei in the final (6-3, 6-4). After finishing finalist at the BNP Paribas Open, she received a prize money of $236,800 with 650 points.
