The Indian Wells Masters has been the home of numerous iconic matches as well as tennis legends.

Founded in 1974, the Indian Wells Masters, is also known as the Indian Wells Open and BNP Paribas Open. Taking place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the tournament is a Masters 1000 event on the men's tour as well as a WTA 1000 event on the women's tour. 4. Juan Martin del Potro - 1 Title, 2 Finals

Due to his injuries Juan Martin del Potro played the Indian Wells Masters only six times over the last decade. However, he managed to win 21 matches. The Argentine reached the final of the BNP Paribas Open in 2013 and 2018.

He lost 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to Rafael in 2013 but defeated Roger Federer 6-4, 6-7(8), 7-6(2) in 2018 to win his maiden Masters 1000 title.

3. Rafael Nadal - 1 Title, 2 Finals

Rafael Nadal has been victorious in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden thrice. However, he won the tournament just once in the last decade.

This was in 2013 when the Spaniard defeated Argentina's Juan Martín del Potro 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Before that, he lost 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to Novak Djokovic in the 2011 final.

2. Roger Federer - 2 Titles, 6 Finals

Roger Federer played a total of six finals in Indian Wells during the last decade, winning twice. The first of these came in 2012 when he beat John Isner 7-6(7), 6-3 in the final. He also won the tournament in 2017 by defeating Stan Wawrinka 6-4, 7-5 in the final.

Federer lost four finals during the last decade to Novak Djokovic (2014, 2015), Juan Martin del Potro (2018) and Dominic Thiem (2019).

Djokovic produced some scintillating tennis in Indian Wells during the last decade. From 2014 to 2017, the Serb won 20 consecutive matches at the BNP Paribas Open. He won four titles at Indian Wells Garden, in 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

4. Maria Sharapova - 1 Title, 2 Finals

Maria Sharapova's journey at Indian Wells was full of ups and downs. She suffered a major injury in 2015 and got suspended in 2016 due to a banned substance violation. However, looking at the good part, Sharapova won the BNP Paribas Open in 2013 by defeating Caroline Wozniacki 6-2, 6-2. She reached the final the year before but lost 6-2, 6-3 to Victoria Azarenka.

3. Simona Halep - 1 Title, 1 Final

Two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep won her only BNP Paribas Open title in 2015 when she defeated Jelena Janković 2–6, 7–5, 6–4 in the final. She won 22 matches in Indian Wells during the last decade.

2. Caroline Wozniacki - 1 Title, 3 Finals

Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki reached the final of the BNP Paribas Open on three different junctures but captured the title just once. This was in 2012 when the Dane triumphed against France's Marion Bartoli 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 in the final.

Wozniackin reached the finals in 2010 and 2013, losing to Jelena Jankovic and Maria Sharapova respectively.

1. Victoria Azarenka - 2 Titles, 2 Finals

By winning 22 matches and two women's singles titles at the BNP Paribas Open, we can say that Victoria Azarenka had the best decade at Indian Wells among female players. The Belarusian won the tournament for the first time in 2012 when she beat Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-3.

Her second title came in 2016 when she beat Serena Williams 6-4, 6-4, Azarenka is the only woman in the last decade to win two titles at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
