She has won four WTA singles and one doubles title, which include the 2024 Miami Open, the 2024 Charleston Open, the 2021 Silicon Valley Open in singles, and the 2023 Charleston Open in doubles, as of December 2024, with WTA ranking No. 11. She has a career-high singles ranking of No. 7, which she achieved in July 2022. She has an aggressive playing style, which is described as fearless and fun to watch. She is capable of hitting powerful groundstrokes from both wings.

Collins' best Grand Slam performance came at the 2022 Australian Open, where she reached the final. At the 2024 Miami Open, Collins defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, becoming the lowest-ranked champion in tournament history. Her triumph continued as, within two weeks, she lifted the trophy of the 2024 Charleston Open, becoming the second player after Serena Williams to win back-to-back Miami Open and Charleston Open.

What kind of surgery did Danielle Collins have?

Danielle Collins underwent surgery for endometriosis in 2021. Before her surgery, Collins shared on social media that the problem is creating discomfort and pain in her life, affecting her performance. She added that one of her biggest goals is to have her own family, and due to this problem, her personal life is also affected. She withdrew from the Volvo Car Open to undergo endometriosis surgery.

WTA then stated that Collins had emergency surgery in April for endometriosis, a painful condition in and around the uterus that can cause excruciating pain during a woman's menstrual cycles, after experiencing incapacitating pain throughout her body at the beginning of the year. Collins has attributed her on-court success since Wimbledon to the procedure. She then won the first two titles of her career on clay and hard courts since she was able to play pain-free. Two weeks after making her debut on the clay in Palermo, she won the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic, marking the 50th anniversary of the event.
