She won the 2024 Miami Open, defeating Elena Rybakina in the final in straight sets. She became the lowest-ranked champion, second-unseeded woman, and third woman to win her maiden singles title in Miami after turning 30, following Petra Kvitova and Chris Evert.

Her accomplishments continued as she emerged victorious at the 2024 Charleston Open, defeating Daria Kasatkina in the final. With the win, she became the second player after Serena Williams to win back-to-back in the Miami Open and Charleston Open. She also won the 2023 Charleston Open in doubles with her partner Desirae Krawczyk.

Collins rose to fame after reaching the semifinal of the 2018 Miami Open as a qualifier. Her best Grand Slam performance came at the 2022 Australian Open, where she reached the final. She lost to Ashleigh Barty in straight sets. She also reached the quarterfinals of the 2020 French Open, where she lost to Sofia Kenin in three sets.
