On Friday, June 7, 2024, South Korean broadcasting channel SBSNOW released the first teaser trailer of the upcoming Korean drama Good Partner, offering fans a sneak peek into office politics. Set in a law firm, the series will chronicle the tug-of-war between a team leader and a senior.
Featuring Jang Na Ra, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, and P.O. in lead roles, Good Partner will explore the opposing ideologies of two powerful lawyers who will fight their battles in court while also looking out for each other.

Good Partner will premiere on SBS every Friday and Saturday from July 12 at 10 PM KST (6.30 PM IST). The show will consist of 16 episodes.

Good Partner will follow the story of two headstrong lawyers at different stages of their lives, rookie lawyer Han Yoo Ri and veteran divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung. Nam Ji Hyun will portray the role of the former, and the latter will be played by Jang Nara.
The teaser suggests a comic and mystery-filled plot involving the other employees at Law Firm Daejung as they walk on eggshells around their boss and discuss how the newcomers can hardly stay for long at the workplace.
The plot will revolve around how the lawyers work through their differences while ushering in big life changes. Cha Eun Kyung, known as the "Nation's Divorce Lawyer," with her 17 years of experience, has a no-nonsense approach when it comes to work.
As both Cha Eun Kyung and Han Yoo Ri navigate various client cases, the former soon faces a crisis with her potential divorce. While the veteran lawyer keeps the best interests of the clients and the firm at heart, the newcomer, Han Yoo Ri, cannot tolerate any injustice. Soon, however, they become each other's emotional support through thick and thin.
Apart from the female lead characters, Kim Jun Han plays Jung Woo Jin, Kyung's junior team's leader. His charisma and charm toggle between warmth and cold, yet he is preferred by all, especially the boss. Pyo Ji Hoon, as Jeon Eun Ho, takes on the role of an optimistic lawyer, keeping the best interest of love at heart, thus maintaining a balance between work and relationships.
Kyung's family-oriented husband, Kim Ji Sang (played by Ji Seung Hyun), works as a medical consultant in the law firm and prioritizes his wife's dreams and family's interests. Lastly, Kyung's decade-old secretary, Choi Sa Ra (played by Han Jae Yi), climbed the corporate ladder through perseverance and dedication, only to be promoted to the position of legal writing assistant.
The show has been directed by Kim Ga Ram (known for Nevertheless, Flower Crew, and Vampire Detective) and written by Choi Yoo Na (a renowned South Korean divorce lawyer and screenwriter).
Nam Ji Hyun and Jang Nara recently discussed their respective roles in their ELLE Korea photo shoot and interview. The former reportedly said she was excited about her role, adding,
"The script reads well. Unlike other trials, domestic trials such as divorce often require meeting clients in person. There are quite a few dramas that feature lawyers, but our drama has its fun in that [viewers] can meet divorce lawyers as professionals.”
Jang Nara added how the lawyer's role made her think about various forms of human life, saying how she "got a lot of specific advice from writer Choi Yu Na about the professionalism of the job and the language of lawyers.”
Good Partner will air on Friday, July 12 at 10 PM KST (6.30 PM IST) on SBS.
