#3 Moritz Seider
Detroit Red Wings top-pairing blueliner Moritz Seider had a good game. He registered two assists while playing solid defensive hockey and ended the night with two points, playing a team-high 27:15 over 30 shifts.
Seider has proven to be a workhorse for the Red Wings, providing solid defense with a clear offensive upside. Apart from his two points, Seider chipped in with two shots on goal. His efforts earned him the game’s third star.
#2 Andrew Copp
Andrew Copp has predominantly played a middle-six role for the Detroit Red Wings this season. He has been a solid penalty killer, providing depth and veteran presence for a young and up-and-coming Red Wings team.
Copp showed off his skills on the penalty kill, scoring a beautiful shorthanded goal. He took advantage of a puck that rattled around the boards, sprinting on a breakaway and beating Canadiens netminder Samuel Montembeault.
Here’s a look at the shorthanded beauty:
Copp fired a wicked wrister to Monteambeault’s glove side, leaving him with little chance to make the save. Copp ended the night a plus-1 in over 16 minutes of ice time on 21 shifts and four shots on goal.
#1 Dylan Larkin
Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin had a resurgent outing, notching up two points (1G, 1A) in over 20 minutes of ice time. He was a plus-1 on 26 shifts, getting a team-high nine shots on goal.
In particular, Larkin scored a fantastic power play goal to put the game away for the Wings. With the game 3-1 and the Canadiens looking to get back into it, Larkin buried the power play marker, putting the game out of reach.

Larkin took advantage of a defensive miscue by Habs blueline Mike Matheson, burying his 21st of the season. Larkin's efforts landed him the game's first star.
The Red Wings will get a chance to recover before facing the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena.
