Jiricek also comes from a hockey family, being the younger brother of NHL defenseman David Jiricek.

During the 2022-23 season, Jiricek tallied 12 goals and 17 assists in 41 under-20 games, along with two assists in 12 Extraliga appearances. He was later drafted 19th overall in the 2023 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft by the Brantford Bulldogs but opted to continue playing in Europe. However, his draft year took an unfortunate turn when he sustained a season-ending knee injury during an international competition in December 2023.
