Hill played a pivotal role in the Golden Knights’ 2023 Stanley Cup win, stepping in as the starting goalie after an injury to Laurent Brossoit. He finished the playoffs with an 11-4 record, a 2.17 goals-against average, and two shutouts, earning third place in Conn Smythe voting, as per his NHL profile.

Hill's career began in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winterhawks before he was signed by the Coyotes in 2016. He spent several years bouncing between the NHL and AHL, recording his first NHL win in 2018. After a trade to the Vegas Knights, he helped the Golden Knights reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2023, where he made a crucial save in Game 1 and contributed to the team’s championship victory.
