Alexandar Georgiev, born February 10, 1996, is a Bulgarian-born Russian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, Georgiev holds the distinction of being the first player born in Bulgaria to compete in the NHL.

Georgiev began his journey in Russia, playing for the Moscow-based Penguins and later for the Khimik Voskresensk before moving to Finland and debuting in the Liiga with TPS during the 2014–15 season. During his tenure with TPS, he showed immense promise which led to an invitation to the New York Rangers’ developmental camp. This resulted in Georgiev finalizing a three-year, entry-level deal with the Rangers on July 18, 2017. Later on, he was sent to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL to adapt the North American style of play.

His NHL debut came on February 22, 2018, where he showcased his talent by making 38 saves despite the Rangers losing 3-1 to the Montreal Canadiens. Georgiev claimed his first NHL victory on March 3, 2018, stopping 35 shots as the Rangers triumphed over the Edmonton Oilers 3-2.
