The Anaheim Ducks are a professional ice hockey team based in Anaheim, California who compete in the Western Conference as part of the Pacific Division in the National Hockey League (NHL). Originally named the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, they rebranded to the Anaheim Ducks in 2006 and play their home games at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Notably, they are one of the two teams to be based in the Greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, alongside the Los Angeles Kings.

Presently, the team is owned by Henry and Susan Samueli while general manager Pat Verbeek and coach by Greg Cronin take care of management and coaching of the team respectively. Talking about their achievements, they have won a sole Stanley Cup (2006–07), alongside six Division Championships (2006–07, 2012–13, 2013–14, 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016–17) and two Conference Championships (2002–03, 2006–07).

Anaheim Ducks Draft Picks Year on Year

The Anaheim Ducks have a rich draft history, marked by several notable selections from recent years. In the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, they picked Leo Carlsson as the 2nd overall pick, who has since made an impact with 29 points in 55 games for Örebro HK in the Swedish Hockey League (SweHL). They also selected promising prospects like Nico Myatovic, Carey Terrance, and Damian Clara while Mason McTavish, drafted 3rd overall in 2021, has already played 153 NHL games and accumulated 88 points in his short career. Other notable players selected in recent years include Jamie Drysdale, a key player on the Ducks' blue line, Pavel Mintyukov, Nathan Gaucher, and Trevor Zegras.

Older draft picks include players like Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, Frederik Andersen, Josh Manson and Paul Kariya. Notably, the Anaheim Ducks have demonstrated a keen eye for talent as they have successfully drafted at least one player who made it to the NHL in every class.
