Andre Burakovsky is a professional Swedish ice hockey forward playing with the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on February 9, 1995, in Klagenfurt, Austria, he started his hockey career in his homeland Sweden. While there, he played for the Malmo Redhawks in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and scaled to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he played for the Erie Otters.

He began his NHL journey during the 2014-15 season and quickly became a valuable asset to the Capitals due to his goal-scoring skills. He scored his first goal on his NHL debut on October 9, 2014. That same day, he became the second-fastest player in the NHL to score their first NHL goal and the 13th player from the Washington Capitals to score a goal in the debut game. In his rookie season with the Capitals, he played 53 games, scored 9 goals, and had 13 assists.

Burakovsky has achieved many impressive milestones throughout his career and played with three teams in the NHL, most notably with the Washington Capitals, Colorado Avalanche, and the Seattle Kraken. His achievements also includes two Stanley Cup triumphs.

His contribution during the playoffs was impressive, assisting Brett Connolly's goal for the Washington Capitals in the first period. The Capitals eventually defeated the Vegas Golden Knights.

Burakovsky was traded to the Colorado Avalanche on June 28, 2019. He soon made his impact felt. The highlight for Burakovsky came when he won his second Stanley Cup with the team. During the playoffs, Burakovsky played a crucial role in the success. In game three, he assisted a power-play goal in the first period and later scored a goal himself in the same period. His offensive strategy helped the Avalanche to eventually defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Finals.
