Aron Kiviharju, born on January 25, 2006, is a Danish-born Finnish ice hockey defenseman currently playing for HIFK in the Finnish Elite League (SM-liiga). Initially regarded as one of the top prospects in his draft class, Kiviharju’s status diminished following a major injury.

In the 2023–24 SM-liiga season, Kiviharju transferred from TPS to HIFK. Unfortunately, he appeared in only seven games due to a knee injury that required surgery. In those limited games, he recorded a goal and an assist. His once-promising projection as a top draft pick suffered significantly due to the injury, causing his potential draft position to drop to the tail end of the first round or later. Despite the setback, Kiviharju’s early career highlights and perseverance continue to make him a player to watch in the future.
