Beaudry Halkidis is a referee in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born in London, Ontario, he grew up in the vicinity of Charlotte, North Carolina. Halkidis started his career as a player in minor hockey. At the age of 15, he joined and played for the York Simcoe Express Midget AAA (2009-2010 season). Halkidis continued to play the following season in his home country for the Ridley College Tigers from the 2010 to 2012 season. After that he decided to relocate to North Carolina to pursue an education in law enforcement.

Surprisingly, Beaudry Halkidis is the son of former NHL player, Bob Halkidis. His father sparked an interest in his son about officiating. He started his officiating journey at Don Koharaski's Officiating School in Hamilton, Ontario. During the summer of 2015, his performance caught the eye of recruiters, earning him the invitation to attend the NFL Officiating Combine. In the same summer, the USA Hockey Officiating Program recognized his potential and invited him to officiate there. Halkidis immediately seized this opportunity and made his debut in the USA Hockey Officiating Program. He signed a contract as a referee in the NA3HL, NAHL, and the USHL for the 2015-2016 season.

He was once again invited to the NHL officiating Combine in the summer of 2016. Halkidis returned to North Carolina working for the 2017-2018 season in the Southern Professional Hockey League, American Hockey League, and Coast Hockey League but as a linesman. Halkidis attended the NHL Officiating Combine Program for the third time in the summer of 2017. He decided to pursue the role of referee for the following season in the ECHL, AHL, and SPHL. Halkidis is currently working as a full time referee in the minor league of NHL.
