Berkly Catton is a junior ice hockey forward competing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Spokane Chiefs as a top prospect for the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Notably, Catton was the first overall pick in the 2021 WHL Bantam draft despite considering college hockey. After opting to sign with the Chiefs, he scored 23 goals in 63 games during his 2022-23 rookie season. Remarkably, he tied for fifth in rookie scoring and led all 2006-born players while earning a nomination for the WHL's top rookie award.
For the 2023-24 season, Catton finished with 54 goals in 68 games, more than double of what he scored the previous season. As a result, he ranked fourth in the league while he led with seven shorthanded goals. He also recorded 62 assists that season and tallied 116 points for the season. His 1.71 points per game topped all draft-eligible CHL players. Furthermore, Catton was named captain for the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and also honored as a Second All-Star Team member in the CHL.

As captain of Canada's 'Red' team at the 2022 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, he led the team to a silver medal and earned a spot on the tournament all-star team. Moving forward, during his international under-18 debut at the IIHF World U18 Championships in 2023, Catton, alongside Spokane Chiefs teammate Easton Cowan, helped Canada secure a bronze medal. En-route to the podium finish, Cotton himself contributed one goal and four points in seven games. Later that year, he captained Team Canada to a gold medal at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he was the top scorer with eight goals and ten points in five games.

Berkly Catton was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and began his journey with the Saskatchewan Jr. Pats in the Brick Invitational where he tallied 9 points in 6 games. He later transitioned to the Western Canada Selects U12 where he added 11 points in 9 games after which he moved Western Canada Selects U13 and Saskatoon Outlaws for the 2018-19 season.
