Boston Bruins vs Nashville Predators: Preview
Boston is coming off an OT loss to Utah in a game the Bruins led into the third period and will continue its road trip here.
The Bruins have struggled to keep the puck out of their net this season as Jeremy Swayman has not at been his best, as he missed all of training camp and preseason due to his contract holdout. However, Boston's offense has been better than expected.
The Predators, meanwhile, were the big winners of free agency as they signed Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and Brady Skjei. But, through five games, Nashville has yet to win a game as the Predators have been terrible both offensively and in goal.
Nashville will need to start winning games soon to try and get back into the playoff picture, as despite it being an 82-game season, no NHL team that has started 0-5 has made the playoffs since the 2005-06 season.
Bruins vs Predators: Odds & Prediction
Boston is a +105 underdog while Nashville is a -126 favorite, with the over/under set at 5.5 goals.
This game could already be do-or-die for Nashville's playoff hopes and expect the Predators to come out with a sense of urgency.
Boston's goaltending has been an issue to begin the year and this is a good spot for Nashville's offense to get back on track as the Predators should get its first win of the season on Tuesday.
Prediction: Predators 4, Bruins 3
