
The Boston University Terriers men’s ice hockey team represents Boston University and played their first game in 1918. They have won five NCAA national championships and made 25 Frozen Four appearances.
BU has captured 12 major conference tournament titles and 32 Beanpot championships. They competed in the ECAC from 1961–1984 and now play in Hockey East, winning ten titles there. BU is the only eastern team to win back-to-back NCAA championships (1971 and 1972). Their other titles came in 1978, 1995, and 2009. The Terriers have 40 NCAA Tournament appearances and have been runners-up six times.
