Brayden Point is a Canadian ice hockey center for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League. Born on March 12, 1996, in Calgary Alberta, he started his hockey journey with the Canmore Eagles in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). Moving forward, Point honed his skills in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Moose Jaw Warriors where he gained experience. His stand-out performance in the WHL caught the attention of NHL scouts, leading to his selection in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning. His debut happened on October 13, 2016, against the Detroit Red Wings. He concluded his rookie season with an impressive tally of 40 points.

Point has also secured many significant achievements in the NHL, including winning back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning and an NHL All-Star Game selection in 2018.

Point displayed a stellar performance during the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs for the Lightning. His crucial game-winning goal was highly important during the first round against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game was also the fourth-longest game in NHL history.

Following this, Brayden Point recorded a 5-point night to help the Lightning to an 8-2 win over the New York Islanders in the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Tampa Bay Lightning eventually won the Stanley Cup on September 28, 2020, with Point leading the league in goals and contributed 33 points in the playoffs.

In the 2020-21 Stanley Cup Finals, Point contributed with 23 points and matched his previous record of 14 playoff goals. His performances helped the Tampa Bay Lightning overcome the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup finals.
