Brett Howden is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2024 NHL season. Born on March 29, 1998, he was drafted 27th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Howden quickly showcased his talent and leadership during his junior career with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL. He captained the team and earned recognition for his sportsmanship, including 64 points in the 2015–16 season. Internationally, he captained Canada’s U18 team to a gold medal at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

After signing a three-year entry-level contract with Tampa Bay in 2016, Howden also played for the New York Rangers before finding success with the Golden Knights. During the 2023 NHL season, Howden recorded 10 points in the playoffs, en route to win the Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights.
