Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens will look to make it three in a row when they face the Washington Capitals. Although the Habs struggled initially, the team has found rhythm of late. With eight wins in their last 10 games, the team is riding plenty of momentum into tonight's clash with the Capitals after a 5-4 OT win over the Canucks on Monday.
Currently, the team is in sixth place in the Atlantic Division, however, with a win tonight, they could jump up to fifth depending on whether or not the Senators, who they're tied with in the standings, pick up a win tomorrow.
On the flip side, the Capitals are sitting atop the Metropolitan Division and riding plenty of momentum of their own after a 2-1 win over the Canucks this week.
When the Habs take the ice tonight, they will be without several players as Patrik Laine sits out with an illness and David Savard deals with an undisclosed ailment.

Odds for tonight's Canadiens vs Capitals game as well as upcoming games on Montreal's schedule
It should come as no surprise that Washington, who has consistently been among the best teams in the league all season, is the betting favorite.
On FanDuel, Washington is a -220 favorite while Montreal is a +180 underdog. On DraftKings, Washington is a -218 favorite while Montreal is a +180 underdog.
Based on these lines, it would take a $218 bet on Washington as the favorites to win $100 on DraftKings while a $100 bet on Montreal as the underdog would win $180.
Following tonight's game, the Canadiens will head home to host the Dallas Stars tomorrow night. The team will then hit the road for a showdown with the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday before colliding with the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
From there the Canadiens will kick off a back-to-back at home with a clash against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, Jan. 18, before hosting the Rangers the following night.
