The Vancouver Canucks will look to get back in the win column against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night after an overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday. The Canucks will be without two of their key players in Dakota Joshua and Thatcher Demko, who are both on the injured reserve list ahead of tonight's game.

Looking at Vancouver Canucks season so far and upcoming games
After finishing last season with the best record in the Pacific Division, the Vancouver Canucks entered the 2024-25 season with their sights set on winning the Stanley Cup.
Through their first games of the season, the team went 0-3 before then turning things around and winning four straight, defeating the Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Most recently, the team had their four-game win streak snapped by the Carolina Hurricanes, who handed the Canucks a 4-3 overtime loss on Monday. Currently, the team is sitting in third place in the Pacific Division with a 4-1-3 record that sees them holding onto 11 points alongside the Flames and Kraken.
Currently, the Vegas Golden Knights lead the division with 15 points and a 7-2-1 record, while the Los Angeles Kings sit in second place with a 5-3-2 record and 12 points.
Following Wednesday's game, the Canucks will be back in action on Saturday when they play the San Jose Sharks before then facing the Ducks and the Kings as part of their upcoming three-game road trip.
