On Thursday, the Vancouver Canucks will face the New York Islanders in a cross-conference matchup that will see Vancouver look to build on a win over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday, while the Islanders look to snap a two-game skid.

After finishing last year atop the division, the Canucks (8-3-3), who have only played 14 games this season, are sitting behind the Vegas Golden Knights and Los Angeles Kings.
