Tonight, the Vancouver Canucks will look to snap a four-game skid when they collide with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Although the Canucks might've ended last season with the best record in the Pacific Division, they've struggled to replicate the same level of success this year.
Heading into tonight's game, the team is just 2-4-4 over their last ten, and with seven points between them and the third-place Oilers, every game is a must-win for Vancouver if they want to make a postseason run.
In addition to Vancouver sitting seven points behind the Oilers and the Kings, the team is sitting just one point ahead of the Calgary Flames, adding to the pressure on Vancouver.

Is Elias Pettersson on his way out of Vancouver? Looking at the latest Canucks trade rumors
Elias Pettersson has been with the Vancouver Canucks for the entirety of his NHL career. The team signed him to an entry-level contract in 2018, and since then, he's been a staple of the team's forward group.
Over the past three seasons, Pettersson's game has taken another step forward as he's showcased his durability and his growth as a player. Two seasons ago, while playing 80 games, he logged a career-high 102 points. Last season, he logged 89 points over 82 games.
According to Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News, the Islanders have reportedly reached out to the Canucks in hopes of finalizing a deal before the Mar. 7 trade deadline.
Rosner relayed info from one of his sources, reporting that the Islanders have not only inquired about Pettersson, but they've done so multiple times.
With Bo Horvat and Elias Pettersson having a great relationship, rumors are that the Islanders are trying to reunite the two. Whether or not they're successful, only time will tell.
