Carolina is coming off a road loss to the St. Louis Blues, as the Hurricanes have struggled to begin the season.
The Hurricanes have been getting great goaltending, which should help in this matchup as the Oilers offense has been lackluster at times to begin the season.
"I think we have a lot of firepower and haven't scored the amount of goals we've wanted to early in games," Oilers' Viktor Arvidsson said, via NHL.com.
"I think we haven't had the first goal in a few games and that's kind of trickled down later in the game, so I feel like that was the case in Dallas. If we break through at the beginning there in the first 30 minutes, I think we have a better game."
Once the Oilers offense starts to get going, it will be a trickle-down effect as Edmonton should be able to score at will.
