Charlie McAvoy was born on December 21, 1997, and plays professional ice hockey as a defenseman for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was chosen 14th overall by the Bruins in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Remarkably, McAvoy began playing hockey at a young age and even participated in the Quebec International Pee-weeHockey Tournament in 2010 with the New York Rangers minor ice hockey team. Later on, in August 2013, he decided to play college hockey at Boston University and was seen as one of the best defensemen available by scouts who had high expectations for him.

Soon after getting drafted, he signed with the Providence Bruins, the AHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins, on March 29, 2017, ending his college hockey career abruptly. Later, On April 10 of that same year, he signed his first NHL contract and made his debut against the Nashville Predators. Since then, he has been committed to the Boston Bruins, signing various contracts and breaking multiple records.

Kayla McAvoy

Kayla McAvoy has gained diverse experience in the sports and fitness industry. Currently, she works as an Assistant Sports Scientist at Madison Square Garden Sports Corp., a position she has held since August 2023. Prior to this role, he served as a Temp. Associate in Strength and Conditioning with the same organization during an internship from September 2021 to August 2023.

Before joining Madison Square Sports Corp., Kayla Mcavoy served as the Chief Executive Officer at Balanced by Kay, Inc. from June 2020 to the present. She also worked as a Customer Service Representative at CARING24 TECHNOLOGIES,INC from January 2019 to April 2022.

Importantly, Kayla McAvoy earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Queens College in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the same institution in 2019. She was also an active member of the same institution in 2019. She was also an active member of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority during her time at Queens College. Additionally, She gained valuable experience as an intern at Prentiss Hockey Performance in Stamford, Connecticut, from May 2019 to August 2019.

Heather McAvoy

Heather McAvoy is the younger sister of Charlie McAvoy. She is in her senior year in high school. Heather McAvoy played for the Selected Academy at Bishop Kearney and participated in volleyball, ice hockey, and lacrosse for the Kings. She was also part of the Long Island Lady Islanders and the New Jersey Rockets hockey clubs. As a senior, she was a runner-up at the USA Hockey U19 Nationals. She was part of the High Honors Program.

During her freshman year, she played 19 games for the Hawks hockey team and earned one assist. She also shot ired four shots, and ended the season with a minus-four on-ice rating. In her sophomore season, Heather McAvoy played 37 games for Saint Anselm. She scored her first collegiate goal and had three assists, making a total of four points. She attempted 23 shots and blocked 41 shots throughout the season, which tied her for the third on the team. She also received nine minor penalties and had a season-high of four blocks against Mercyhurst.

Holly McAvoy

Holly McAvoy is the younger sister of Charlie McAvoy and also twin sister of Heather McAvoy. Presently, Holly studies at SUNY Cortland and attended Long Beach Senior High School. Moreover, She currently lives in Long Beach, New York.
