Christopher Kreider, born April 30, 1991 is an American professional ice hockey winger and alternate captain for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was drafted as the 19th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Level Draft by the New York Rangers and has been associated with them for the entirety of his professional career.

Kreider started the 2023-24 season strong, scoring seven goals in his first 10 games. On November 4, he netted his eight goal of the season and the 273rd of his career, surpassing Andy Bathgate for the fourth-most goals in franchise history. After scoring his 10th goal of the season in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on November 12, Kreider tied Vic Hadfield for the second-most consecutive 10-goal seasons by a Ranger player. Moving on, on December 15, Kreider surpassed Adam Graves for the third-most goals in Rangers history and became the fifth Ranger to record 100 career power-play goals. Moreover, since debuting in the NHL, Kreider has become the backbone of the Rangers' forward line and he has played a total of 825 games which has seen him contribute 304 goals alongside 248 assists. He has also led the team to two Division Titles, two Presidents' Trophy and a sole Conference Championship.

Chris Kreider grew up Boxford, where Kreider played with the Valley Jr. Warriors for four years from 2004 to 2008 before enrolling at Masconomet Regional High school. As a sophomore there, he was recognized as an All-League player and helped the Masconomet Chieftains win the Cape Ann League Championship. However, he decided to go attend Philips Andover for his junior year but repeated his sophomore year and later led Andover to the New England Prep Semifinals and was named New England Prep Player of the Year. Following high school, Kreider enrolled himself at Boston College where he played for the Boston College Eagles between 2009 and 2012. While there, he earned All-Hockey East Rookie Team and All-Hockey East Second Team honors.
