Chris Kreider is an American professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League (NHL), playing as a left-winger for the New York Rangers, as of February 2025. He was born on April 30, 1991, in Boxford, Massachusetts, and was selected by the Rangers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft as the 19th overall pick.

He started playing hockey at Masconomet Regional High School. He later went to Phillips Academy where he led his team to the New England Prep semifinals. For his performances, he was named the New England Prep Player of the Year. He continued to excel in his college career with the Boston College Eagles where he earned All-Hockey East Rookie honors and All-Hockey East Second Team honors.
