Chris Pronger Family

Chris Pronger is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman. Born on October 10, 1974, in Dryden, Ontario, Pronger was selected second overall by the Hartford Whalers in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Over an 18-year NHL career, he played for Hartford, St. Louis, Edmonton, Anaheim, and Philadelphia, serving as captain for multiple teams. He won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007 and earned two Olympic gold medals with Team Canada (2002, 2010), making him a member of the prestigious Triple Gold Club. Pronger was named the NHL’s Most Valuable Player in 2000, becoming the first defenseman since Bobby Orr to win the Hart Trophy. His career was cut short in 2011 due to post-concussion syndrome.
