Cody Ceci is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Prior to the Oilers, he was also associated with the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Notably. Ceci began his career with the Peterborough Minor Petes before joining the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Ceci was later drafted 15th overall by the Senators in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft snd made his NHL debut in the 2013-14 season after a stint with the Binghamton Senators, Senators’ developmental territory in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Moving forward, he signed a two-year, $5.6 million contract extension with the Senators in 2016 and a one-year, $4.3 million contract in 2018. On July 1, 2019, Ceci was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs and signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract extension. Following this, he had a short spell with the Penguis and joined the Oilers in 2021-22.
