He played 1,054 NHL games for teams like the Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Washington Capitals, and New York Islanders, amassing 3,149 penalty minutes—the seventh most in league history. After retiring, Berube transitioned into coaching, leading teams like the Flyers and the St. Louis Blues, where he guided the Blues to a Stanley Cup victory in 2019 as interim head coach.
