Darnell Nurse is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman serving as an alternate captain for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League. Born on February 4, 1995, in Hamilton, Ontario, Nurse was drafted seventh overall by the Oilers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He spent time in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Sault Ste.
