David Pastrňák is a professional ice hockey player who plays as the right-winger for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League. David is one of the most popular players in the NHL. He is known for his electrifying playing style and his accurate shots. David Pastrňák's playing career began in his hometown of Havířov, Czech Republic. He played for the youth teams of HC Havířov before moving to Sweden to play for Södertälje SK in 2012. In his first season with Södertälje, David led the Swedish under-18 league in goals (41) and points (68).

David was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round, 25th overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut that season, playing against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He scored the first two goals of his NHL career against Ray Emery in a 3–1 Bruins' road win over the Philadelphia Flyers. During the closing months of the 2017–18 season, David scored his first NHL hat-trick in a game against the Carolina Hurricanes. David won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, awarded to the NHL's leading goal scorer in the 2019-20 season.

Dufresne Trophy, awarded to the Bruins' most valuable player in 2020 and 2021.
