
The Denver Pioneers men’s ice hockey team represents the University of Denver in NCAA Division I and plays in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). They previously competed in the WCHA from 1959 to 2013. The team has won 15 regular-season conference titles (13 WCHA, 2 NCHC) and 14 conference playoff championships (12 WCHA, 2 NCHC).
The team originally played at the DU Arena (1948–1997), which seated 5,237 and hosted multiple NCAA finals. It was replaced by Magness Arena in 1999, a 7,200-seat venue within the Ritchie Center, funded partly by Bob Magness.
