Looking at the odds for tonight's Devils vs Kings game as well as upcoming games on New Jersey's schedule to kick off the year

Heading into tonight's game between the Devils and the Kings, the NHL community seems pretty split on who they think gets the job done.

On FanDuel, the Kings are sitting as slight favorites with -111 odds while New Jersey has -108 odds. On DraftKings, these betting lines are a bit clearer, with -118 odds for LA and -102 odds for New Jersey.

If betting lines remain consistent, it would take a $111 bet on LA to win $100 via FanDuel, while a $108 bet on New Jersey would win $100. Using the DraftKings odds, it would take a $118 bet on LA to win $100 while a $102 bet on the Devils would win $100.

Following tonight's game, New Jersey will head to San Jose to face the Sharks on Saturday before kicking off the following week with a game against the Kraken in Seattle on Monday.
