Looking at the New Jersey Devils' upcoming schedule as team battles it out in the Metropolitan Division
Following tonight's clash between the New Jersey Devils and the San Jose Sharks, the Devils will hit the road for a three-game stretch. On Tuesday, they will kick off a two-game series against the Panthers, with the rematch scheduled for Thursday.
Then, they will play the Tampa Bay Lightning before returning home for a pivotal divisional game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Nov. 21. Following their brief one-game home stint, they will then battle it out against another divisional rival, the Capitals, on Nov. 23.
With the Hurricanes and the Capitals rounding out the top three of the Metropolitan Division, the upcoming stretch of games for the Devils could go a long way in separating the three teams in the standings.
In addition, with the New York Rangers in fourth place, just behind the Capitals, the Devils will need every win they can get to guarantee a playoff spot.
