Dmitry Kulikov plays defense for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL) as of 2025. He was born on October 29, 1990, in Lipetsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, and has previously played for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota Wild, Anaheim Ducks, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Kulikov was drafted 14th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2009 NHL Draft and made his debut at just 18 years old against the Chicago Blackhawks in Helsinki on October 2, 2009. He later scored his first goal against the Washington Capitals on November 7, 2009. Notably, he won the Stanley Cup championship with the Florida Panthers in 2024.

While Alina continued with the sport, Dmitry quickly lost interest after a painful fall. “I don’t remember how it happened, but they tell me I fell, and it hurt a lot, and I didn’t want to do that anymore. I didn’t like it" he shared in an interview with Winnipeg Free Press.

By the time they were 12, both siblings had to move away from home separately to train and study as Dmitry continued hockey and Alina for figure skating.

Dmitry Kulikov's wife is Emilie Kulikova. Originally from Sweden, she relocated to the USA to be with her husband. She is a mother of two and had a part-time job at a jewelry store in downtown Winnipeg when Kulikov was playing for the Jets some time ago, as per CBC.
