Edmonton Oilers NHL Mock Draft 2024

Round 2, Pick 64: Eemil Vinni, G

With the Oilers' first pick, they take Emil Vinni a Finnish goaltender.

Vinni is the top-ranked European goalie who ranks third in the 2024 NHL draft. The Oilers need him to add more goalie depth to their system.

Vinni went 17-9-10 with a 2.72 goals against average and a .891 save percentage in a Finnish pro league last season.

Round 5, Pick 160: Frankie Marrelli, D

With their second pick of the 2024 NHL draft, the Edmonton Oilers select Frankie Marrelli, a defenseman from the Ottawa 67s.

Marrelli recorded nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 60 games in his second season in the OHL. The defenseman added one goal and two assists for three points in 10 playoff games.

Round 6, Pick 183: Mason Zebeski, LW

Edmonton takes its first offensive player of the draft by selecting left winger Mason Zebeski from the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL.

Zebeski is a goal scorer, as he recorded 24 goals and 11 assists for 35 points in 52 games this past season. The forward does need more development in his all-around game, but the goal-scoring ability is there.

Round 6, Pick 192: Jack Berglund, C

Edmonton goes to Sweden to select Jack Berglund from Farjestads BK Karlstad. He played eight games with the men's pro league recording one goal but began the year with the junior club.

He played in 41 games with the junior club, recording 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points. The big centerman can project as a bottom-six centerman in the NHL.

Round 7, Pick 195: Tanner Henricks, D

The Edmonton Oilers used their first of two picks in the seventh round to select USHL defenseman Tanner Henricks.

Henricks is committed to St. Cloud State, so he will likely play a couple of seasons at college before turning pro, which will be good for his development.

This past season in the USHL, he recorded nine assists in 59 games.

Round 7, Pick 218: Bauer Dumanski, LW

With their final pick of the 2024 NHL draft, the Oilers select Bauer Dumanski out of Prince George Cougars of the WHL.

Dumanski is 19 and was passed up in last year's draft. However, after another good WHL season, he gets his name called in the NHL draft.

Dumanski recorded seven goals and 26 assists for 33 points in 68 games. It is a bit of a flier from the Oilers, but the forward can be a grinder on the fourth line and add some energy to an NHL lineup.
