The Edmonton Oilers will play the Los Angeles Kings at the Crypto.com Arena on Saturday. The puck drop is scheduled for 4 PM EST.

The Oilers (21-11-2) have only one defeat in their last nine games, so they come into this matchup flying high and in good form. Meanwhile, the Kings (19-10-5) were en route to overtaking the Oilers in the Pacific Division but have slumped in form recently, losing three of their last four games.

The Oilers have used their home fixtures to their fullest advantage as they have won each of their last three games at home and now head away to the Kings in hopes of replicating that form. The Oilers sit one point above the Kings, aiming to extend that lead further come Saturday.

Edmonton Oilers injuries

Due to their ongoing injuries, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evander Kane are both currently sidelined for the Oilers.

The Kings, on the other hand, have lost both of their recent outings as they failed to close the gap on the Oilers and sit third in the Pacific Division currently. The defeats against the Nashville Predators and the Washington Capitals will still be stinging the side as they hope to use their home advantage to return to winning ways.

Los Angeles Kings injuries

Phillip Danault, Trevor Moore, Arthur Kaliyev, Trevor Lewis and Drew Doughty are all currently sidelined for the Kings due to their ongoing injury concerns.

Edmonton Oilers vs. LA Kings key players

It has been the Leon Draisaitl show all season long for the Oilers, as the forward leads the scoring charts with 52 points since the start of the season. Connor McDavid closely follows him with 49 points despite playing three games less.

Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe have contributed to 69 points between them as the pair will be pivotal for the Kings to climb further up the table and close the gap with the Oilers.
