Elias Pettersson is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Vancouver Canucks in the National Hockey League (NHL). Pettersson was drafted fifth overall the Canucks in the 2017 NHL Entry Level Draft.

Before joining the Canucks in the NHL, Pettersson played for the Växjö Lakers in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), where he contributed with 32 assists and 56 points in the 2017-18 season. He ended the season with the Le Mat Trophy, the Stefan Liv Memorial Trophy and the Rookie of the year award.
