Evan Bouchard is a Canadian defenseman for the Edmonton Oilers who made a name for himself early on in his career by winning the 2016 OHL championship and the Memorial Cup with the London Knights. Following this, he was later made captain of the team in his sophomore season and was later drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2018 due his consistent performances. His NHL contract signing then took place in July of that year with his first goal coming later that year, in October. His first goal for the team also made him the youngest defenseman in Oilers history to score a goal. However, after just six more games that season, he was returned to the Knights of the OHL. Despite this, he won the Max Kaminsky Trophy on his return to the OHL. He finally solidified his place during the 2021-22 season, where Bouchard helped the Oilers with 12 goals and 31 assists in 81 games. His efforts helped the team reach the Western Conference Final. The following season, he again helped the team to return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
