Evan Bouchard is a Canadian defenseman for the Edmonton Oilers as of March 2025. He was drafted 10th overall by the Oilers in 2018. He signed a three-year entry-level contract on July 17, 2018. Bouchard became the youngest Oilers defenseman to score a goal but was sent back to the London Knights after seven games. He won the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the OHL’s top defenseman with the London Knights.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bouchard played for the Bakersfield Condors and in HockeyAllsvenskan before earning a full-time spot with the Oilers. He also represented Canada at the 2019 World Junior Championships as an alternate captain.
