Evan Rodrigues, born on July 28, 1993, is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he honed his skills at Boston University before commencing his NHL journey with the Buffalo Sabres in 2015. He quickly made his mark as he scored his first goal and recorded his first assist on April 9, 2016, against the New York Islanders. Over the years, he played 202 games with the Sabres before departing for the Pittsburgh Penguins and for the Colorado Avalanche afterwards.


Notably, Rodrigues achieved a rare feat with the Penguins on January 2, 2022, against the San Jose Sharks as he alongside teammate Bryan Rust recorded hat-tricks to lift the Penguins 8-5 over the Sharks. This also became the first instance since 2008, that Penguins had two players who scored hat-tricks in the same game.


Presently, Rodrigues is under a four-year contract with the Panthers and is committed to them until the 2026-27 season.
