Filip Forsberg, born on 13 August 1994, is a Swedish professional ice hockey left-winger playing for the Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League (NHL). He started his hockey journey in his hometown, playing in the Swedish Hockey League with Leksands IF, where he honed his skills and developed himself as a young player before transitioning to professional hockey.

Forsberg steadily advanced to the professional level like NHL, he was selected by the Washington Capitals as 11th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Throughout the years, Forsberg has constantly made an impact in the team, achieving various milestones and recognition.

Filip Forsberg began his NHL aspirations when he was picked by the Washington Capitals as the 11th overall pick in the 2012 draft. However, he was traded to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Martin Erat and Michael Latta.

Nashville Predators (2012-present);

Filip Forsberg made his debut against the Detroit Red Wings on April 14, 2013 and recorded two shots with a minus rating through 18:37 minutes of ice time. Upon making his debut at 18 years, 244 days, he became the third-youngest player to play for the Predators.

With the Predators, Forsberg has constantly demonstrated his talent, by scoring timely goals. He also became the youngest Nashville Predators to score a playoff goal and also scored a hat-trick in the playoffs during the 2015-16 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Forsberg's contributions were recognized as he earned a spot in the NHL All-Rookie Team for the 2014-15 season.

The following season, Forsberg again stood out again, this time for his natural hat-tricks as scored two hat-tricks in the span of four days ( February 23 and February 27, 2016). With this milestone, he set the franchise record as the youngest player in team history to record a regular-season hat trick as well as surpassing franchise records for goals scored. Forsberg was promoted as the alternate captain of the team prior to the 2017-18 season.

On January 14, 2020, Forsberg successfully scored a "Michigan goal" and became the only second player in NHL history to do so after Andrei Svechnikov to do so. Moreover, he has scored nine hat tricks in his career and participated in the NHL All-Star Game twice ( in 2015 and 2024). Filip Forsberg is currently under an eight-year, $68 million contract with the Predators. He is set to play with them till the 2029-30 season.
