Frank Vatrano is an American professional ice hockey player who plays for the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL. He began his NHL career impressively, scoring his first goal on November 7, 2015, against the Montreal Canadiens, with his family cheering from the stands after a long drive to see him play. In his 17th game, he achieved his first NHL hat-trick, contributing to a victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. He briefly returned to the AHL and eventually finished his season with eight goals in the NHL.

Vatrano’s journey to the NHL started with the Boston Jr. Bruins and then the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. After a standout season at UMass-Amherst, he went undrafted but signed with the Boston Bruins in 2015. Vatrano had a productive stint in the AHL with Providence before joining the Bruins. He moved to the Florida Panthers in 2018 and then to the New York Rangers in 2022. He signed with the Ducks in July 2022.
