Gustavsson is only the 10th goalie in NHL history to score via a shot on goal. The first goalie to do this was Ron Hextall in 1987. Others on this list include Chris Osgood, Martin Brodeur and Pekka Rinne.

Gustavsson's feat is a rare one and it has allowed him to join a small group of NHL netminders.

The list of goalies who have shot the puck directly into the net are:

"I come to the ADV on the timeout and FL's like, 'Hey, you're going to try and shoot it if you get it now when we're up two goals.' I was like, 'Yeah, actually I should shoot it,' and then it's a perfect dump there to the goalie. I just catch it and just try and put it down as quick as possible, and I didn't know I could shoot it that far in the air, so it was great it got in there."

Gustavsson is ready for more such plays:

"(Joked) I should be on the power play meetings now so we'll see."

Jordan Kyrou's power-play goal was disallowed after the referee blew the play dead. The Wild will face Columbus on Saturday.
