Logan Thompson is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender born on February 25, 1997.
Thompson's journey to the NHL started in bantam junior hockey with the Calgary Bisons. He moved up with the CBHA Blackhawks and Calgary Buffaloes in the Alberta Midget Hockey League. In 2014-15, he split the season between Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League.
Thompson signed a professional try-out contract with the Binghamton Devils of the American Hockey League in 2019. He later signed a one-year deal with the Hershey Bears in the AHL.
In 2020, he signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights.
In terms of accolades, Thompson was named the AHL Goaltender of the Month for February and March 2021. He won the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award as the best goaltender in the AHL that season. He was also named to the 2021 All-Rookie and Pacific Division All-Star teams.
In January 2022, Thompson made his first NHL start. He was named the starting goaltender for the Golden Knights in the 2022-23 season due to injuries to the starting goaltender and backup. He recorded his first shutout in October and was named the NHL Rookie of the Month for November.
