Kevin Hayes is a professional ice hockey player who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. He began his ice hockey journey by participating in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, representing South Shore. After excelling in high school hockey at Noble and Greenough School, he was drafted 24th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010. Instead of signing with the Blackhawks, Hayes chose to attend Boston College, where he helped the Eagles win an NCAA championship in 2012.

Hayes transitioned to the NHL in 2014 when he signed with the New York Rangers. His rookie season was impressive, ranking high among first-year players in points. After stints with the Winnipeg Jets and the Philadelphia Flyers, where he dealt with injuries and personal hardships, Hayes was traded to the St. Louis Blues.
